* * * *

Flynn knew the guy was here for Jude instantly. He looked too much like Jude not to be related to him. They looked so much like each other that they could almost be twins, although this guy was obviously much younger than Jude. Still, he had the same long hair, although his was longer and curled in a mess on top of his head. He was also thinner and a bit taller, but there was no denying he was Jude’s brother. If he wasn’t, Flynn would be stunned.

Now that he looked closer, he could see the guy was wearing makeup. His lips were covered in a slick sheen, and his lashes were too long and black to be natural. He was also wearing eyeliner. All of that looked good on him. The skirt he was wearing looked good, too, although it exposed the guy’s skinny legs.

Nestor nodded. He had a mulish expression Flynn recognized because he saw it often on Jude’s face.

Duke pressed his head against Jude’s hand, reminding him that he and Flynn were there. Jude cleared his throat. “Flynn, this is my brother, Nestor. Nestor, this is my mate, Flynn.”

Nestor’s gaze moved to Flynn. Flynn wasn’t sure what to do. He shouldn’t be here because this was family business. He was stunned Jude had so freely admitted who he was, although he shouldn’t be. Jude never had a problem with them being mates. “I should take Duke home,” he murmured.

That was the last thing he wanted. He didn’t know what was happening, but he was sure Jude would need support, and who better than his mate to provide it? The problem was that Flynn didn’t know if Nestor would be comfortable with him being there, and he didn’t want to make the situation even more complicated.

Jude rubbed his face. He was exhausted, and he didn’t need this kind of situation in his life right now. Flynn wished there was more he could do for him.

“The fact that you’re here means you need to talk to me, right?” Jude asked.

Nestor nodded curtly. He was staring at Duke now, looking both interested and scared. “Unless you don’t want to talk to me because of how I look?” he asked. His voice was hard, but it trembled at the end of the sentence.

He clearly expected Jude to push him away because of the way he looked. Someone already had, and Flynn wanted to get his hands on them.

“I don’t see anything wrong with the way you look,” Jude said.

Nestor’s gaze shot to Jude. “Really? You’re not going to say anything about the makeup and the skirt?”

Jude shrugged. “Other than they look good on you? No.”

Nestor’s shoulders slightly relaxed. He was still wary, but he didn’t look like he was about to run away anymore. “Okay. I need to talk to you.”

“Would it be okay if Flynn came upstairs with us? You don’t know him, but he’s my family.”

Flynn wasn’t surprised Jude wanted him there. If this was what Jude needed, then Flynn would give it to him.
